Applications are available for the IBE/Circle City Classic Scholarship at the undergraduate and graduate levels.

Applications are distributed at the IBE Back to School Rallies, local education fairs and other locations. Each year's applicants represent a diverse range of ages, ethnicities and socio-economic backgrounds. Those selected are required to complete the application, demonstrate a participation in extra curricular activities, supply evidence of a financial need, and fit other criteria.

The IBE/Circle City Classic Scholarship program began in 1984. Since then, the program has expanded awarding more than $1.5 million to hundreds of students throughout the state of Indiana. A panel from the Indiana Coalition of Blacks in Higher Education convenes in May to review and select scholarship award recipients. Based upon the above criteria, scholarships are awarded to the students representing a variety of schools.

Award amounts for undergraduate is $1000 and graduate at $1500.
