Each scholarship award will be divided into two equal payments, disbursed once in the fall and once in the spring.
No. All scholarships funds will be sent directly to the financial aid office of the university, college, trade or vocational school for which you are enrolled.
If for any reason you transfer to another school, please notify Indiana Black Expo, Inc. 317-925-2702 prior to transferring or you risk forfeiting your scholarship.
No. The Circle City Classic® Scholarship is only awarded to students who are U.S. citizens, who can provide a Social Security number and completed FAFSA form.
The deadline for the Circle City Classic® Scholarship is April 15, 2020. IBE does not accept late applications.

The Circle City Classic® Scholarship is open to high school seniors and undergraduate students. High school students must be accepted as a full-time college student and current college students must be enrolled for the upcoming year.

No. The Circle City Classic® Scholarship is open to all Indiana residents who meet the scholarship qualifications. IBE does not discriminate based on color, creed or ethnicity.

You will need your parents’ taxes to complete the FAFSA (unless you meet the criteria for “emancipated status” listed on the application). This is a requirement to apply. To be considered you must include the FAFSA information.
No. Scholarships are only disbursed in the year for which they are awarded. If you do not return to school for the second semester, the second disbursement is forfeited.
