Thank you for visiting the Circle City Classic Website

On behalf of the board of Indiana Black Expo Inc., Circle City Classic Executive committee and staff, welcome to our website!

We are very excited about this year’s rematch between the Alabama A&M University Bulldogs and the Tuskegee University Golden Tigers. The Bulldogs are anxious to redeem themselves from an upset in 2008, when the Golden Tigers defeated them in a hard-fought battle (24-34). In addition to an awesome match-up, be sure to stay in your seats for the Caterpillar Battle of the Bands featuring Alabama A&M’s Marching Maroon and White versus Tuskegee’s Marching Crimson Piper Band and more.

We have been blessed over the last 25 years that the Classic has grown from a single football game to a week-long experience that attracts over 250,000 people from Indiana and across the United States. Since 1984, more than 1 million fans have witnessed this spectacular event.

In the midst of an action-packed weekend, we have not lost sight of the mission and foundation of the Classic. Through our longstanding partnerships with the Indiana Sports Corporation and Indiana Black Expo, Inc. we continue to promote cultural excellence, educational achievements and the spirit, energy and traditions of historically black colleges and universities (HBCUs). Furthermore, the Classic has created numerous rich opportunities for our youth through the Indiana Black Expo, Inc./Circle City Classic Scholarship Program, college fairs, college readiness workshops and more.

In addition, the Classic has tremendous corporate partners that enable us to continue to be the one of the premiere events in the state of Indiana. We are excited to have American Family Insurance as our title sponsor of our game and parade.  In addition to American Family Insurance, we welcome a host of other sponsors, community partners and supporters which help make the Classic a superior event.

Lastly, we could not accomplish a seamless event without our incredible volunteers! More than 600 dedicated volunteers sacrifice their time and talents to ensure that Classic is a success. We salute them for all of their support!

We look forward to an amazing Classic weekend.

We hope to see you there!

Sincerely,

Marc Williams
